

Kyle Anthony Cortés, M.M. (He/Him), is an Afro-Latino multi-disciplinary artist and educator working in composition, sound design, and music direction. He's most excited by collaborations on new plays and multi-disciplinary works that explore the bounds of our different artistic mediums for authentic storytelling. Based in Chicago, IL, his recent credits include collaborations with companies such as The Goodman Theatre (Fat Ham, Assistant Sound Design & 2025 Musical Theatre Intensive, Lead Music Director), The Second City Theatre (Bob Curry and Victor Wong Fellow, Music Direction), Visión Latino Theatre Co. (Las Borinqueñas, Sound Design), Artemisia Theatre (GOODS, Sound Design), Definition Theatre (Judy's Life's Work, Co-Sound Design), and more.
Passionate about educating historically underserved communities, he is a resident teaching artist for the music conservatory at The Chicago High School for the Arts (ChiArts) (Humboldt Park).
